Specialist Occupational Therapist & Hatha Yoga Teacher

I started my personal yoga practise in 2002 and have since studied with many teachers from various yoga disciplines. As a Hatha Yoga Teacher I teach gentle yoga influenced by the moon phases and our seasons. As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, I offer advice on living well with long term or progressive health conditions and using mind/body restorative practises to support sustainable symptom management and well-being.

Yoga and OT fuse together beautifully. I have used relaxation, breathwork and mindful movement in my OT work since qualifying 15 years ago. I have worked in pulmonary rehab, hospice care, vocational rehab, learning disabilities and community/inpatient mental health, and these experiences have all influenced the way I teach my yoga.

In 2021 I qualified to teach Hatha & Restorative Yoga and I am registered with Yoga Alliance Professionals UK. For the past 4 years I have worked as a specialist NHS clinician in long covid and ME/CFS.

I work with people to help them live better with their chronic illness. After working with me, my patients report feeling more confident in living with their chronic condition and better able to prioritise activity meaningful to them.

I also run a weekly public webinar/chat on living well with chronic ill health as part of Suzy Bolt's international Rest Repair Recover programme which supports people living with chronic fatigue and long covid.

In addition to my yoga and OT training, I am experienced in using gentle movement and breathwork in clinical settings such as pulmonary rehabilitation, long covid & ME/CFS, breathing pattern disorder, palliative care, dysautonomia, and in management of chronic pain, fatigue and breathlessness.
